Babis Theodoulidis

Dr Babis Theodoulidis holds the position of Senior Lecturer at Manchester Business School, and a visiting position at the School of Engineering, University of Surrey. He is a member of the Faculty of Humanities Postgraduate Teaching Committee and project manager for the IST project PARMENIDES (IST-2001-39023) (www.crim.org.uk/parmenides).
He is the secretary of the Executive Committee for the BCS Special Interest Group in Pattern Analysis and Robotics, a member of Editorial Board of the Information Systems and e-Business Management Journal and an external examiner for the University of Salford and the University of Hertfordshire.
He has published over 90 refereed journal and conference articles and his research work (as Principal or Co-Investigator) has received funding of over £2m from UK and European funding bodies over the last 12 years. During this time, he has successfully supervised 14 PhD theses and over 20 MPhil theses.
His publication “Visual Data Mining Modelling Techniques for the Visualisation of Mining Outcomes” was the fourth most requested article for 2004 of the Journal of Visual Languages and Computing and his publication "The generic information business model" is among the "Top 25 requested papers" for the April 2002 to April 2004 period of the International Journal of Information Management.
Dr Theodoulidis was the general chair of STDBM99 and TMRPO05, member of the organising committee of CAiSE92, ER94, BNCOD95, ICAPR98, TIME02 and member of the programme committee of CAiSE (from 1995 to 2004), ICDE96, STDBM (from 1999 to 2006), NLDB (from 2001 to 2005), and ECDM04.
